Gensol EV : Affordable City Centric Electric Car Set to Debut in March 2024

Gensol Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Gensol Engineering Limited, is set to unveil its debut all-electric car in March 2024. The teaser provides a sneak peek into the city-centric design, featuring a quadricycle style with a moonroof and modern interior technology like a digital instrument cluster, touchscreen infotainment system, and AI-based cloud analytics.

 

Produced at the Chakan plant in Pune, India, the Gensol EV aims for a 200km range and a top speed of 80kmph, driven by a 15-25kWh battery pack and a single motor, though detailed specifications are yet to be revealed. Positioned as an affordable option, the two-door EV is expected to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh.

 

Gensol Engineering Limited, known for its foray into ride-hailing with BluSmart, adds an eco-friendly dimension to urban mobility. The upcoming EV joins the league of electric vehicles in India, contributing to the country’s sustainable transportation landscape.
