Svitch Launches CSR 762 Electric Bike in India at Rs 1.90 Lakhs

Ahmedabad-based tech startup Svitch has recently introduced its first electric motorcycle, the CSR 762, priced attractively at Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The bike, set to debut in August 2022, showcases a distinctive feature – a 40-liter storage space for a helmet ingeniously integrated into the dummy fuel tank, positioning it as a pioneer in its class.

Rajkumar Patel, the MD, and Founder of Svitch Group of Companies, emphasized the CSR 762’s unique blend of speed and creativity, driven by passion and commitment to excellence. The design of the e-bike is sleek and stylish, offering riders a chance to personalize their journey with various vibrant color options. Integrated LED lights not only contribute to the bike’s aesthetics but also enhance visibility and safety during night rides.

In terms of specifications, the CSR 762 is powered by a 3kW Mid-Drive PMS DC Electric Motor, delivering a peak output of 10kW (13.4 bhp) and 56 Nm. It features twin lithium-ion battery packs with a capacity of 3.6kWh, providing a remarkable peak range of 190 km (IDC) and a top speed of 120 km/h. The cooling system utilizes Air Cooling Technology, and riders can choose from six riding modes.

Available in three captivating colors – Scarlet Red, Black Diamond, and Molten Mercury – the CSR 762 incorporates convenient features such as a built-in mobile charger, covered mobile holder, and seamless iOS and Android smartphone connectivity. Svitch has strategically established showrooms in key cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore, aiming to provide a direct and personalized purchasing experience. Furthermore, the company supports a battery-swapping infrastructure, reducing charging stops for an extended ride.

Svitch has priced the CSR 762 at Rs. 1,89,999 (ex-showroom), aiming to redefine e-motorcycles by blending innovation with futuristic design, encouraging a shift from traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles to electric mobility.
