Maruti Suzuki to launch Toyota-based 7-seat hybrid SUV soon: Six EVs by 2030

Maruti Suzuki, one of the leading car manufacturers in India, is reportedly planning to launch a seven-seater hybrid SUV that will be based on Toyota technology. The company is said to be working closely with Toyota to develop the vehicle, which is expected to be launched soon.

 

According to reports, the new hybrid SUV will be based on the Toyota Raize, a compact SUV that is currently sold in the Japanese market. Maruti Suzuki is expected to make some design changes to the vehicle to suit the Indian market.

 

Apart from the new hybrid SUV, Maruti Suzuki is also said to be working on six new electric vehicles that will be launched by 2030. The company aims to have a fully electric product lineup in India by 2030, as part of its efforts to reduce carbon emissions and meet the country’s clean energy goals.

 

The first of the six new EVs is expected to be launched by 2025, and it will be based on the Wagon R platform. The other five EVs are said to be in the planning stage, and details about them are not yet known.

 

Maruti Suzuki has been a dominant player in the Indian car market for decades, and the company has a reputation for producing affordable and reliable vehicles. With the launch of the new hybrid SUV and the six new EVs, the company is expected to cement its position as a leader in the Indian car industry.
