An electric car can be booked for the journey
Aiming to be fully electric by 2040, ‘ Uber green services’ is all set to be launched in India. The process will begin in the cities Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore next month. Passengers can select an electric vehicle while booking an Uber. In the first phase the company is aiming for 25,000 four-wheelers and 10,000 two-wheelers and later will be extended to four cities.
U.S. Uber Green, the company’s flagship app-based taxi service provider, launched globally in 2021. Uber Green is present in 15 countries. Meanwhile, Uber Green will charge more than their regular cars. Uber has partnered with companies like Lithium Urban Technologies, Everest Fleet and Move, to buy electric vehicles and set up charging facilities.
