According to supply chain sources, Tesla is preparing to produce 4 million pieces of its affordable electric vehicle

“According to supply chain sources in China, Tesla is reportedly preparing to produce 4 million units of its next electric car, which will be priced at around $25,000. To produce 20 million vehicles annually by the end of the decade, Tesla needs to expand its vehicle lineup quickly, especially with more affordable options. The company has been teasing a cheaper electric car for a few years now, but details have been scarce. It is expected that the production capacity will be spread across various factories worldwide, with over 1 million vehicles being produced at the upcoming Gigafactory in Mexico.

Recently, there have been sightings of a mysterious compact Tesla vehicle in China, and some speculate that it may be the new cheaper high-volume car. However, it is important to take such reports with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, the production capacity and distribution plans align with Tesla’s expansion goals.

Currently, Tesla has a production capacity of around 2 million vehicles per year, which may increase to over 3 million with the current lineup. The Cybertruck could potentially raise production capacity to 5 million units, but Tesla still needs more affordable, high-volume vehicles to bridge the gap.”
