Bajaj Introduces Chetak Urbane Electric Scooter with Enhanced Features 

 

Bajaj Auto has recently unveiled the Chetak Urbane Electric Scooter, a revamped version of its electric scooter lineup. Priced at Rs 1.15 lakh for the standard model and Rs 1.21 lakh for the Tecpac variant, this new release promises an elevated riding experience, combining style and performance.

 

 

A notable improvement in the Chetak Urbane is its extended range, boasting 113km, surpassing the current Chetak’s claimed real-world range of 108km. Both models share a 2.9 kWh battery capacity, emphasizing efficient power management.

 

 

In terms of speed, the standard mode offers a top speed of 63 km/h, ensuring a smooth and efficient ride. The Tecpac variant, available for those seeking extra thrill, raises the top speed to an exhilarating 73 km/h and introduces a Sport mode for added excitement during daily commutes.

 

 

However, there’s a trade-off in charging efficiency, as the regular charger’s speed has decreased from 800W to 650W. This results in a longer charging time, increasing from 3 hours and 50 minutes to 4 hours and 50 minutes. This might be a consideration for riders valuing quick charging.

 

 

Personalization is a key focus, with the Chetak Urbane offering four vibrant color options: Brooklyn Black, Indigo Metallic, Cyber White, and Matte Coarse Grey, catering to diverse rider preferences.

 

 

Looking forward, there’s anticipation for a potential upgrade in the Chetak Premium model to address charging speed and braking system concerns. Enthusiasts speculate that Bajaj might soon unveil an enhanced Chetak Premium to maintain its position as a top-tier electric scooter.
