Bajaj to Launch it’s Electric Car under 4 lakhs, The Qute (RE60)

Bajaj Auto has announced its latest innovation – the updated version of the Bajaj Qute, set to transform urban commuting. Overcoming the cost barrier, this new electric car is poised to make electric vehicles more accessible to the masses.

Government Approval Paves the Way

Bajaj Auto received the green light from the government in January 2023, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of electric vehicles in India. The new Bajaj Qute, designed to be a compact and versatile urban companion, promises to be a game-changer in the electric car segment.

Efficiency and Maneuverability

Weighing in at a mere 451 kg, the Bajaj Qute is engineered for navigating narrow city streets and crowded metro environments with ease. This 4-seater car features a fixed roof, comfortable suspension, and boasts a top speed of 70 km/h, making it a practical choice for daily commuting needs.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Bajaj Qute packs a punch with a 12.8 bhp power output. Reports suggest that the company might also introduce a CNG version, further expanding its appeal. The car is equipped with sliding windows and a robust 216 cc single-cylinder high-power engine, ensuring both efficiency and reliability.

Affordable Electric Mobility

One of the most exciting aspects of the new Bajaj Qute is its affordability. Initially introduced in 2018 at Rs 2.48 lakh ex-showroom, the updated Qute is estimated to be priced at just Rs 3.61 lakh ex-showroom, making it an attractive option for those seeking an electric alternative without breaking the bank.

Practical Features

The Bajaj Qute doesn’t compromise on practicality, offering a commendable 20 liters of boot space. Additionally, it generates a torque of 16.1 Nm and features an ‘H’ pattern gearbox with a reverse gear, enhancing its versatility for urban driving.

This new electric car from Bajaj Auto marks a significant step forward in the electric vehicle landscape, promising affordability, efficiency, and ease of use. With the Bajaj Qute (RE60), electric mobility is on the brink of becoming a reality for a wider range of commuters, revolutionizing the way we navigate our bustling city streets.
