In April 2024, MG Motor saw a huge 243% jump in electric car sales, leaving Mahindra behind.

MG Motor India has recorded a dramatic increase in electric vehicle (EV) sales, surpassing Mahindra in April 2024. The brand’s strong performance reflects its growing importance in the Indian automotive sector. In April 2024, MG Motor India achieved a known sales volume of 4,485 units, with electric vehicles accounting for a significant portion of this figure.

According to data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), the brand delivered 1,203 electric cars this season. Digging deeper into the numbers, MG Motor India has seen a remarkable 243.71% annual growth in electric vehicle sales for the year 2024. This translates to 853 units more than the 350 sold in April 2023. In addition, the brand saw a monthly growth of 6.37% compared to March 2024, selling 1,131 units.

This move cements MG Motor India’s position as a leading player in the Indian electric vehicle market. Notably, it secured second place in electric vehicle sales, with Tata Motors leading the pack with 4,956 units sold in April 2024. Mahindra & Mahindra is in third place, with sales of 629 units. The taste may be commended in models like MG ZS EV and commet EV. Mg zsv, electric tags of Rs 18.98 lakh (show), seeking something that comes together in this section. On the other hand, the MG Comet EV, an affordable electric car priced at Rs 6.98 lakh (ex-showroom), is appealing to the audience.

While doing well in the electric vehicle space, MG Motor India also maintains a strong presence in the internal combustion engine (ICE) segment. Its range includes popular models such as MG Astor, Hector, Hector Plus and Gloster, strengthening its position as a leading player in the Indian car market.
