MG Motor is providing substantial discounts on its Comet EV and ZS EV SUV models as part of the December Fest, extending the offer until December 31, 2023. This strategic move aims to counteract an impending price hike scheduled for January 2024, offering potential buyers an opportunity to acquire MG models at reduced prices before the revised rates take effect on January 1, 2024.
The discount list for December 2023 encompasses MG’s entire range of cars and SUVs, featuring models like the Comet EV and ZS EV SUV. Noteworthy is the Comet EV, launched earlier this year, now available with discounts of up to Rs 65,000. Boasting a 17.3kWh battery, it delivers a certified range of 230 km per charge, accompanied by notable features such as a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a matching infotainment system, and various safety enhancements.
The ZS EV, another electric car in MG’s lineup, offers benefits worth Rs 150 lakh, along with a Rs 50,000 exchange bonus.
In November 2023, MG witnessed a modest 2 percent growth in domestic sales, totaling 4,154 units, compared to the 4,079 units sold in the same month the previous year. Notably, 30 percent of the total sales in November were attributed to the EV category, underlining a growing interest in electric vehicles among consumers.
