No License Required: Hero Flash Scooter Hits Indian Roads at Just Rs 39,990

Hero Electric, a subsidiary of Hero MotoCorp, has recently rolled out its most economical electric scooter, the Hero Flash, targeting the Indian market. Introduced in January 2020, the scooter offers affordability and convenience, with two variants available – Flash LA priced at Rs 39,990 and Flash LI at Rs 52,990 (ex-showroom). Notably, the Hero Flash does not necessitate a driving license, making it accessible even to individuals under 18.

Despite its budget-friendly nature, the Hero Flash boasts a basic digital information panel and LED DRLs. The scooter is powered by a 250-watt BLDC hub motor, reaching a top speed of 25 kilometers per hour. The Flash LA variant is equipped with a 48-watt 20Ah lead-acid battery, while the LI variant features a 48-watt 28Ah lithium-ion battery, providing a range of 50 kilometers.

In terms of design and features, the Hero Flash incorporates telescopic forks at the front, twin shocks suspension at the rear, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Safety measures include drum brakes on both sides, complemented by a combined braking system. Although lacking disc brakes, the scooter competes directly with petrol-powered counterparts like the TVS XL100 and Bajaj CT100 in the Indian market, emphasizing its cost-effectiveness.

The Hero Flash presents an appealing option for those seeking an electric two-wheeler with a focus on simplicity, affordability, and ease of use, contributing to the growing market for eco-friendly mobility solutions in India.
