Tata Motors is preparing to debut the new Electric Safari, positioning it as a direct competitor to the Creta EV.

Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the electric version of its current SUV Safari in the Indian car market. According to sources, the company plans to launch 10 new electric cars in India over the next 5 years. Currently, Tata boasts the largest EV portfolio in India, and there have been no reported faults in the company’s vehicles thus far.

Sources indicate that Tata Motors plans to launch the electric car early next year. Additionally, the company intends to introduce the Tata Curve EV and Harrier EV to the market. An updated version of the Tata Safari EV was spotted undergoing testing some time ago, built on the Acti.ev platform.

The new Safari EV will have a design similar to the current Safari but with some expected modifications. Changes will include a new grille, alloy wheels, and cosmetic updates to the interior, featuring a 10.25-inch display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen system.

For safety, the Safari EV will feature blind spot monitoring, a 360-degree camera, ADAS, and six airbags. According to sources, the new EV is expected to offer a range of 500 kilometers on a full charge. The new Safari EV will directly compete with the upcoming Creta EV, as well as with models like the Maruti Suzuki eVX and BYD Atto 3. The price of the Electric Safari is estimated to be around Rs 30-32 lakh.
