Tata’s Nexon EV Facelift: Affordable Luxury with Extended range, starting from Rs 14.74 lakh

Tata Motors has officially launched the eagerly awaited 2023 Nexon EV facelift in India, showcasing its commitment to sustainable mobility. With prices starting at Rs. 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model and reaching Rs. 19.94 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec variant, this electric SUV offers an array of improvements over its predecessor

The Nexon EV facelift introduces an array of exciting features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a customizable 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a stylish two-spoke illuminated steering wheel, a touch-based air conditioning panel, and height-adjustable ventilated front seats. Additionally, it boasts a JBL sound system, a single-pane sunroof, a wireless charger, a 360-degree camera, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

One of the standout enhancements is the Nexon EV’s dual battery options. It is available in Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR) versions, equipped with 30kWh and 40.5 kWh battery packs, respectively. The Medium Range variant offers a respectable 325 km of claimed range, while the Long Range version can cover an impressive 465 km on a single charge.

In terms of performance, the torque has been optimised to 215 Nm (down from 250 Nm), but the top speed has been increased from 130kmph to 150kmph. Notably, the Nexon EV can now accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 8.9 seconds.

The 2023 Nexon EV facelift comes in six variants, namely Creative+, Fearless, Fearless+, Fearless+ S, Empowered, and Empowered+, and offers customers a choice of seven exterior colors. With these updates, Tata Motors aims to make electric mobility more accessible and appealing to a wider audience.
