TVS iQube Electric Scooter Sets New Milestone with 2 Lakh Unit Sales.

TVS has achieved a notable milestone as the iQube electric scooter exceeds 2 lakh unit sales in India. This accomplishment establishes TVS as the first legacy brand to achieve such a feat in the competitive electric scooter market.

The TVS iQube faces stiff competition in the e-scooter segment, notably against rivals like the Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1, and Ather 450X. It is noteworthy that TVS took over three years to achieve the initial 1 lakh unit sales of the iQube, but the subsequent 1 lakh units were sold in a remarkable 10 months, showcasing a substantial acceleration in market acceptance.

The sales surge is further emphasized by the fact that TVS managed to sell an impressive 96,561 units in the first six months of the current fiscal year alone. This rapid adoption underscores the growing popularity and demand for electric scooters in the Indian market.

The TVS iQube is available in two variants: standard and S, priced at Rs 1.24 lakh and Rs 1.39 lakh (on-road price inclusive of FAME-II subsidy), respectively. The iQube is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, delivering power to a hub-mounted electric motor with an output of 6 BHP. Both variants boast a claimed top speed of 78 km/h and an impressive range of 140 km on a single charge.

The iQube’s main rival among legacy players is the Bajaj Chetak, and it also faces competition from emerging electric vehicle startups like Ola Electric and Ather Energy. The success of the iQube not only signifies a triumph for TVS but also highlights the increasing acceptance of electric mobility solutions in India.

As the electric scooter market continues to evolve, this achievement positions TVS as a frontrunner in the electric mobility space and sets the stage for further innovations and developments in the industry.
