Volkswagen ID.4 GTX EV Showcased in India-Launch Soon

Volkswagen unveiled its electric crossover, the ID.4 GTX, in 2021, based on the ID Crozz concept that was exhibited at the 2020 Auto Expo in India. It is the second electric car from Volkswagen and is built on the MEB platform. The car boasts an aerodynamic design with a closed grille at the front, sleek headlights with DRLs, a bulky rear end, and a thick D-pillar. It also features a full-width LED bar, a blackened roof with a spoiler, GTX badging on the boot, and a redesigned rear bumper. The ID.4 GTX rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, making it look more aggressive and sporty.

The cabin of the ID.4 GTX is equipped with a large 12.0-inch infotainment display, a digital cluster, a panoramic sunroof, and a power-operated rear liftgate. The centre console now has room for two bottle holders as the gear selector and parking brake lever have been removed. Additionally, the door pads and dashboard have dark blue panels with contrast stitching, and the front seats and steering wheel have a GTX logo.

Globally, the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX has two electric motors, one on each axle, and a 77kWh battery pack that helps the motor produce 299bhp and 310Nm of peak torque, making it the most potent model in the ID.4 range. It can sprint from zero to 100kmph in over six seconds and has a WLTP-claimed driving range of 479km on a single, fully charged battery. The ID.4 GTX is an exciting addition to Volkswagen’s electric car lineup, with its sporty design and powerful performance, making it an attractive option for buyers looking for a stylish and eco-friendly crossover.
