Volvo C40 Recharge launching today: Impressive 530 km Range and 0-100 kmph in 4.7 seconds at a top speed of 180 kmph

Volvo is set to launch its second all-electric car, the C40 Recharge, in India on September 4. This luxury electric vehicle is expected to be priced between 60 to 65 lakhs (ex-showroom), slightly higher than its sibling, the XC40 Recharge, which is available for 56.90 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The C40 Recharge boasts impressive specs, including twin electric motors generating 402 bhp and 660 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 180 kmph. The car is equipped with a 78 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a remarkable 530 km range on a single charge.

Charging is convenient too, with the ability to go from 10% to 80% charge in just 27 minutes using a DC fast charger. Using an 11 kW level 2 charger takes eight hours for a full charge. This electric car will surely make waves in the Indian EV market, competing with models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, and even its own sibling, the XC40 Recharge.
